This exceptional cylindrical bore piccolo, made by Harry Seeley in 1963, plays down to C (perfect for Billy Budd!). It was used professionally and is fitted with a complete set of cork pads.

Harry Seeley was one of the finest flutemakers of his generation (see our blog for an article on his life and work). After the demise of Rudall Carte, he along with some colleagues founded Flutemakers Guild in 1961. Three makers were responsible for the instruments during those early years, with Harry working alongside his mentor Angus Harris, and David Keen. They produced handmade flutes and piccolos on commission to the highest standards. This piccolo is no exception. It has soldered toneholes, elegant underslung trillers, and a Brossa touchpiece to give an unclouded F#. With its cork padding, this is a beautiful instrument to play. Fully hallmarked for London 1963.

We have serviced this piccolo ready for sale. It comes in its original case.
