The mellow character of boxwood is complemented by the silver lip insert, which subtley brings a crispness that does not intrude on the quality of sound. The S3 cut retains enough resistance to draw out the player, who is able to develop a unique relationship with the headjoint.

The boxwood looks lovely, and the silver fittings seem to emphasise the wood's rich natural grain. The headjoint is supplied in a bespoke mahogony box by Chris Raven.
