Made in 1922 by Gus Kurzendorfer, a craftsman who specialised in German silver mechanisms, this flute has been serviced ready for sale and plays exactly as it should.

Condition is very good. Pads are very good. There are a couple of repaired and inconsequential hairlines in the headjoint (away from embouchure hole) and footjoint. The flute's voice is typical Carte, with warmth and strength, and excellent intonation at A=440.

Being more than 100 years old, the flute qualifies as an antique for customs purposes, allowing it to enter some territories with reduced import tax, or none at all into the USA.

Serviced ready for sale, this flute comes in its original case.
